Statement of Purpose
The advancement in information technology has improved the functioning of many disciplines and medical field in no exception. Being a radiographer, will place me at the centre of transforming medical field and enhance quality life. My interest in radiography was cultivated by close association with my mentor who is a radiographer and inborn passion for looking at the films. This informed my decision to pursue radiology in my undergraduate. The vital concepts learned through practical, theory and interaction with radiologist when studying for my undergraduate, led me to make a rather natural decision of pursuing master’s degree in the field of radiology. I did masters in Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Through the course, I came to appreciate the role of functional imaging in health care service provision. This knowledge and motivation has sharped and improved my performance in the current job place where I work as a an acting supervision technologist
Pursuing doctoral degree in functional imaging in a reputable school has been my focus since I graduated with masters in CT and MRI. The doctoral program in functional imaging will sharpen my skills and expand my knowledge in nuclear magnetic resonance, and modern x-ray.
