NameInstructorSubjectDateHooray for Hat by Brian WongThe short story I taught to kindergarten kids is Hooray for Hat by Brian Wong. Before reading the story, I did a little research of my own to understand how illustrations are used to communicate to the audience, especially young children. I wanted to have a good understanding of the story so that I will be able to teach to the children better, and I made sure I have a dictionary at and to get the different meaning of some confusing or difficult words. While reading the story on my own before presenting it to the class I noted the way the writer uses colors when moving from one scene to another, which involved the changing of the animals’ moods from being grumpy to cheerful. I made points on how I will help the children to understand the story and its meaning by ...
