My parents always pushing to be in the medical field. I was born and raised in San Francisco. Growing up in San Francisco has not been easy for me. I’ve always felt like I need to probe my self to other because of race. I feel like I need to be out there helping student with there education so they can be successful in life. When I started to think seriously about what kind of profession I would like to choose in the future, I came to the conclusion that teaching would be the most rewarding for me. I have always been passionate about English Language and Literature. As a voracious reader myself, I enjoy exploring the ways the features of language are used in Literature to challenge, inspire and educate. My goals is to get the sufficient education in this sphere, learn pedagogic, to be able to involve children into the world of literature. Not simply providing them the new material during the lesson; get the knowledge in English – as I consider this subject to be vitally important for understanding children of various ages, as well as building positive relations with them. Sandly to this point my parents don’t agree me being a teacher helping student from the community where I grew

I was born and raised in San Francisco. My parents are Mexican and migrated to the city just before I was born. Because of my Mexican origin, I faced a lot of challenges growing up. Discrimination was the order of the day in the neighborhood. I could not play with the other children because I looked different. Other kids would openly tell me that no matter how much I work hard in school I will end up working in the kitchen or become a custodian. Such sentiments used to discourage me as a child and caused me regret being a Mexican American. I would juggle between the two identities that were so demanding. On one hand, my parents are Mexican,
