Abstract

Autism is defined as a neurodevelopmental disorder, in which the
victims have impaired speech in terms of both verbal and nonverbal
communication, limited social interaction due to the inability to communicate
as well as repetitive conduct. The condition is, however, treatable through an
adoption of various strategies that highly depend on the level of complexity of
the disorder. Many scholars have engaged in extensive and intensive researches
in an attempt to explain the various causes and interventions that are
available for addressing autism. Consequently, many theories have been brought
out through research in order to support claims given by these researchers.
There are many theories of autism by different proponents. Some of these
theories include executive dysfunction theory, Mind blindness theory, social,
motivational theory and the weak central coherence theory among others.

but it says that the drug can be used safely for a short period, although
having some serious side effects. The hope of testing this drug was to
determine whether this class of drug is a good direction to go in for
developing effective treatments for Autism. The study was a first step in
seeking remedies to address the core symptoms of Autism.
