Crick’s discovery of the genetic modification was drawn on the work of Rosalind Franklin and Maurice Wilkins among others. The research proved to be of enormous significance to biomedical research, health and life in general. Such discovery in the late 1953 - earned Crick, Wilkins and Watson the Nobel Prize in medicine and physiology in 1962.According to several scientists, Crick’s accomplishment became a cornerstone of genetics and was regarded as one of the most fundamental discoveries of 20th-century biology. Crick started his scientific career in physics, pursued his bachelor degree at the University College, London in 1937.
