Analyze and explain them using sociological terms, concepts, and ideas from the course (textbook and class discussion). Be sure to discuss what is distinctive about a sociological approach to suicide (e.g., how it differs from other approaches).

Discuss Durkheim’s sociological theory of suicide and present some of the findings from his study and/or describe the “risk factors” (social factors that put people at risk of an outcome) and “protective factors” (factors that protect people from certain outcomes).
